Dateline: Phoenix, AZ: While protestors have launched a sit in calling on the Governor to veto the bill launching the Country’s first major state enforcement efforts on illegal immigration, protesters like Al Sharpton are asking for a Boycott of the State.


In response, Patriot groups around the country want to support the rights of the people of Arizona and are calling for a BUYcott of the State.

 

The first BUYcott was in support of Whole Foods and was launched on September 1, 2009 by Tea Party leaders in St. Louis, Dallas, Austin, California, Philadelphia, New Jersey and more. The events drew serious national attention as one St. Louis store had BUYcott-attributable sales totaling over $50,000 in one night. Next, they BUYcotted Ford Motor Company, and Ford stocks have done well. Now conservatives around the country are standing up for Arizona.

 

Calls for the BUYcott began the moment the Arizona protesters called for a Boycott of Arizona, with conservative groups were saying, ‘let’s join forces and make our voices heard for Arizona!’ So that is exactly what they are all joining together to do.

 

Some Arizona business facts:

 

The state’s leading export category is computers and electronic products, which alone accounted for nearly one-third (31 percent), or $4.3 billion, of Arizona’s total merchandise exports in 2009. Other top manufactured exports that year were transportation equipment ($2.5 billion); machinery manufactures ($1.3 billion); and fabricated metal products ($954 million).

Rasmussen reported that 70% of Americans support the law in Arizona.

More than 70 cities are hosting rallies THIS WEEKEND!

 

“There are many ways for real people to support the BUYcott” said Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit. “If my family has a vacation this year, I am thinking the Grand Canyon, where I worked as a youth, might just be the perfect getaway. The national parks in Arizona are spectacular, too.”

 

“Tony Katz, host of The Tony Katz Radio Spectacular, has created the Buy Arizona! Initiative, and is offering free advertising on his daily radio show to support Arizona businesses.”

 

Brooks Bayne of the LA Tea Party said “no matter how you feel about the issue, it is ridiculous to punish business owners with a Boycott.” Naturally, there are already BUYcott efforts on Facebook (Arizona Buycott) and Twitter (@ArizonaBUYcott). Brian Gansereit has arranged for Arizona shoppers to have free shipping on his site and he hopes others will do the same.

 

“We see this as a statement about State’s rights, about freedom, and the right of people in one State to take action to protect their way of life as they see fit. We are proud to stand with Arizona and to support them with a BUYcott!”

 

Organizers are asking all participating patriot groups to email their receipts of Arizona expenditures to gina@stlouisteaparty.com so that we have quantitative data on our impact in this battle. There is also a Facebook Page and a twitter account @ArizonaBUYcott. Final note: The Motto of Arizona: is Ditat Deus; “God Enriches”.

If the Fed.'s would stand up to their Constitutional duty, of securing the Borders, and enforced standing laws, Arizona would not be forced to enact it's own protection.

I personally love the people of Mexico.I do however have a problem with 5000 people per day crossing the border to take American jobs at a lower wage thus lowering the payscales across the board for all Americans. I blame Mexico for having such a corrupt government with enormous taxation, that their economy can not flourish....And now all Americans have to pay the bill for this and we are saying enough is enough.

Arizona's Law just repeats the Federal Law that was ruled Copnstitutional by the Supreme Court. Because of the Feds not doing their job to secure our vast southern border,our Governor had no choice but sign the bill into Law. The Illegals here now have drained our Funds by using Hospitals, Housing, Jobs that should be Legals and a lot more.
The Drugs coming from Mesico resulted in the Shooting of a
County Deputy, Coyotes have transported Illegals to Drop Houses that were rented by one of their supporters in the Phoenix subburbs. Almost daily the TV News shows Law Enforcement Officers Arresting them for Deportation back to Mesico-34 just Friday near Mesa.

The law already states that anyone who comes to this country must have their papers, greencards, or other ID on their persons at all times. If you are caught in Mexico without papers, you are put in jail there for TEN years. If you are in Cuba without papers, you're in prison for life!

Note: illegal immigrants from ANY country are not guaranteed 'equal rights'....read your Constitution. Look at Supreme Court cases ad infinitum.

Gov. Brewer was correct when she said, we do not have the money to support these UNDOCUMENTED illegals. We cannot even support our own U.S. TAXPAYING CITIZENS. We need to restore not just our state (AZ), but the whole country. I am a nurse who worked at the County Hospital of Los Angeles, and I can tell you that open heart surgeries are done on people "who happen to have an MI while visiting a relative in the States". When in reality, they were directed by their physician in their country to come to the States for this needed surgery. I am afraid the Health Care Bill will end up like the Welfare situation. Uncontrolled, unmonitored recipients availing of services who do not qualify in the first place! UNDOCUMENTED illegals are in that mix...they find a way.

As an immigrant who came to this country at the age of six speaking only Spanish, I do not believe any person gains rights in America simply by successfully evading the Border Patrol. My entire extended family, most of whom are immigrants who came here legally, believe that no one should be granted citizenship if they arrived here illegally. We think that for humane reasons, some might be granted legal residency, but American citizenship should not be given out like day-old bread to people who have no respect for America's laws in the first place. A showdown over drug money between suspected Mexican illegal aliens ended with four men in prison and four shipped back to Mexico in body bags. One body has yet to be identified.

Three suspected illegal aliens from Mexico and another man have been arrested and charged with capital murder for electrocuting, stabbing, suffocating and beating the five men to death in a murder-for-hire.

The four suspects were paid between $400,000 and $450,000 to torture the victims with electric shock and slit their throats in an Alabama apartment, police said Tuesday. The murders have been tied to a drug cartel that transports cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana, the Birmingham News reported.

Shelby County Sheriff Chris Curry said he believed the murders could have been revenge slayings after the victims embezzled money from a drug cartel.

I was born and raised in Arizona and just recently moved to Alabama for work. Love it here and Connor does NOT speak for other folks from Alabama and he knows NOTHING of Arizona. All my family still lives there and they have lived there since 1875. I STAND WITH ARIZONA on this subject!!! I am Irish and I have an uncle who lives in Ireland who has waited THREE YEARS to come here. Why should he wait while 1,000 people walk across AZ borders DAILY? A state has a responsibility to protect its citizens if the Feds to nothing.

How outrageous that elected officials there could turn on another government for simply attempting to protect all Americans, both latino and non-latino. I am pro-Tea Party and pro-individual rights, and am for 100% laissez-faire capitalism, but I'm afraid this initiative misses the point.

Government does not have a right to prevent people from moving across borders unless they are a security threat. This would violate the rights of both the traveler and the people interacting with them in the U.S. Therefore, going out of your way to support overly oppressive federal immigration laws stands against freedom, not for it.

Drug dealers are a problem because of the catastrophically destructive "war on drugs". See Prohibition for why this is a bad idea. Welfare and use of public schools illegals are a problem because those things should not be run by government in the first place. Etc.

Having lived in Arizona for 6 years I can attest to the problems they are having. I graduated from high school in Arizona in 1974 and even then the problems of drug running, murders, crime of all sorts was rampant. The Mexican Mafia was the main controller of the drugs, prostitution, and smuggling of illegals into Arizona. I personally knew 5 people who were killed in drug deals gone bad or by rival MM members trying to be top dog. Even way back then people were installing wrought iron window and door gates in order to keep the criminals out. I fully support Arizona in what they are trying to do. We have canceled any plans we have to go to California, and will be boycotting California from here on out. We've contacted the mayor of Los Angeles to let him know of what we have done, as well as contacting the Disneyland corporation to tell them that as long as LA boycotts Arizona we are staying away and encouraging our friends to do the same. Our next vacation will be to Arizona.

With the help of the rest of America, we can push a little of the same back at California, especially San Francisco. The boycots of Arizona seem to begin in California. if we can afford it, we will vacation in Arizona this summer or fall. we are living on social security and have to install a new heat and a/c in a couple of weeks to the tune of $7500.00 plus treatments on my extremely bad back to the tune of $2200.00, plus new insulation under the back half of our doublewide at about $1,500.00 and a new crossover duct at a cost of $750.00. There are lots of american people that could be put to work with jobs that ILLEGALS take. Take away the ILLEGALS Jobs/Food and they will go home. Two presidents have gotten rid of illegals in Americas past. They can come here, just do it without breaking our laws! They are CRIMINALS the minute they cross the border without proper papers! I've had them run into the school bus I was driving and leave the sceen. Got caught up the road, didn't speek english, don't have a drivers license and or course don't have insurance! It happens all the time in San Antonio, TX. The cop was rude to me and felt sorry for her! because I told him she left the sceen (we were all up the road where the school police found her behind a restaurant by the time San Antonio police got there). I say, stop everybody on the road, just like they do road blocks for drink drivers. Haul them back if they don't have papers, just like drunks get hauled off to jail. If they want to grab their family first, great.

For the last 8 months I have had a family trip planned with a friend coming from England to take them out west to show them the greatness of the USA.

I had planned on a 16 state 6000 mile trip that will take us a little over 16 days to complete.

Because of all the uproar over the Arizona bill, Teachers in California telling students that drawing the american flag is offensive, sending students home because they were wearing a shirt with the american flag on it that others said were offensive, the decision of LA and SF to boycott AZ, and now the city of Austin, TX to do the same, I have altered my trip.

I was planning on staying in Austin, I have friends and family that live there, that now will not happen, the city will not get a penny from me, I will not visit the state of California.

I will instead spend those 3 or 4 extra days in AZ spending my money there to support their economy, and see other sites there that I originally wanted to see, but I decided

We are the only country whose military doesn't guard our border and that's our freedom and why we are America. But if I go onto a US military base I have to show my ID, at the commissary, the PX, if I buy a airline ticket I have to show my ID. If I'm traveling abroad at anytime I may be challenged to show my papers/ID/passport. At any time the state troopers or local police may set up a check point on the highway and I have to show my ID/proof of insurance and registration. So what's the problem? If I don't have anything to hide it should never be a problem to show the proper credentials. Some of these folks need to travel abroad and see how the rest of the world lives. Get a grip. This world is more dangerous than it's ever been and things have changed, walk a mile in the people of Arizona's shoes before you criticize.

I did not participate in todays rally. Not for or against SB1070. All I can gauge my thoughts by is what I saw and read in the news. I will say this though and it concerns me a bit. They showed a speaker at the 'buycott' rally and all he kept saying was anti-Mexican. Anti-Mexico. This is exactly what the protesters are afraid of, it sounded like racial profiling, racist comments. That is NOT the way to handle they rally. Granted, most ofm the illegals are from Mexico but that is one thing you DO NOT want to do is single them out. And to semi-quote Woody Guthrie who was for peace?! Someone needs to proofread and approve speeches before the next rally July 4.

I can't support AZ any more than I do. They are enforcing the Federal Immigration Law in effort for many, many years. It's not being enforced by the Feds because of money/votes. And most of the citizens are suffering for it.
I personally wish to see
EVERY illegal alien deported to where they came from illegally. They are not here to assilate into America. They are here to take it over and get all the freebees the can and send the illegals jobs they do back to their real country. They don't want to be citizens they only want to be left alone for things to continue as they are now.

My name is Irwin Mueses Born in NYC. My parents are from the dominican republic which came here legally with work visa in the 70's then was granted citizenship. This issue has bothered me as a Hispanic american but I don not support illegal immigrants constantly breaking the law. It is a privallage to receive citizenship and being apart of this great nation. If they want to migrate to this country do it the way. Go thru proper channels of your exciting country and apply for a visa. Why should another country accept fugatives, drug cartels, under ground smugglers to invade other people and invade their rights. We as americans could not accept unfamiliar faces popping up on our door steps. We have the right to secure our nation. As a hispanic this issue discredits many other latin origins cause of these actions and unite the word LATIN. It is against the law the pass a border period. As a citizen of the United States, I am tired of illegal aliens. I do not care whether they are Mexican, Cuban, Asian, or any other race. If they are here illegally, it is time we take a stand.

I totally disagree with the "anchor babies" right to citizenship. It is not in our constitution and we need to put a stop to it.

I am interested in getting a lawsuit going that would enable folks that had to become citizens the legal way sue the government for letting Mexicans get a free ride. This is so unfair to them. It is an outright act of discrimination to other races that have done it the legal way which includes my ancestors from Europe. Could someone point me in a good direction for getting this going?
