Thanks in large part to the excellent work of Carole Bartholomeaux, news of the Stand With Arizona Rally spread far and wide across the nation this weekend.  Of course, the mainstream media reporters generally played to type in giving heavy coverage to the anti-enforcement rally on Saturday morning, but even many of those stories included at least a note about the Stand With Arizona Rally.  Here is a sampling of the media coverage, both national and local:

As a legal immigrant, a Vietnam veteran, life-member of the NRA, and the VFW, and a registered Democrat, I was disappointed at how the organizers used this event for their own partisan political gain. They said: STOP THE LEFT, as though it is only the Left which supports illegal immigration. Has everyone conveniently forgotten that the first amnesty was signed in 1986 by President Ronald Reagan? Has it been forgotten that John McCain was partnered up with Ted Kennedy when they were trying to push their amnesty package? It does not help our cause of ending illegal immigration to effectively deny access to our ranks to those who do agree with us, but might belong to another political party. There are plenty on the Right who oppose us! This is not about political partisan maneuvering (or should not be, at least), but is about stopping the flood of illegal aliens entering the country. To achieve that goal we need all the help we can get from ALL Americans, not just those on the Right.

Right On Alex Yaron (comment above). As a Viet Nam vet and independant voter I believe all this left verses right, Dem vs. Rep politics misses the point and slows the progress that could be made to "Save our Way of Life." Thousands have died to protect it, now we are going to give it away because we want to be polically correct? Secure our borders then talk amnesty, not the other way around. It could have been done simulaniously years ago when congress could be trusted to follow through with building the fence, but those days are long gone.

The purpose of the federal government's neglect of protecting the border with Mexico is so that illegal immigrants can pass through it, virtually at will, in order to create a nearly open border. This accomplishes the globalists' objectives of weakening sovereignty and nationalism, developing economic strife, and fomenting discord between taxpaying citizens and illegal immigrants, which are necessary elements to implement the North American Union. Further, it sets the stage for amnesty and the federal government's immigration bill that would establish a national ID card for all workers, the inroad to REAL ID.

Arizona's new immigration law (SB1070) is controversial, but not for the reasons that mainstream media presents. It's controversy lies in the database collection on people, as opposed to racism- this illusion is used to create drama. California has threatened to boycott Arizona businesses, primarily travel- related services, including food and lodging. Californ

I was at the rally. I am a proud American. I live in AZ, I live on the South side. I don't care what color, religion, or political party you belong to. Stop blaming the left and the right and lets just start working on fixing problems. The problem with any party they have an big agenda. I am sorry but can't I be a person for one thing and not for another in a group without being criticized. We have to start standing together on key issues. If not we will be taken over. Please check the video on YouTube about the La Raza teacher in LA. That is some of the most disgusting video of someone presenting them self as a American teacher I have ever seen. There are people out there walking on US flags and burning it, and waving the Mexican flag and we are just standing by. What's a matter with that picture?

I say cut the power off to L.A and let the American people know that we also can play the boycut game. We the people need a state and a governor that will stand up and tell it like it is. And I think you for having the guts and will power to stand up to Hussan and say enough is enough. The fedral Government is not and will not do anything to in force the laws/ not Hussan Obama. I say cut the switch off now. Tell LA ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY ONE THING (STAY OUT OF Arizona bussiness) and GIVE THEM 72 HOURS TO CALL OFF THE BOYCUT JUST LIKE PRESIDENT BUSH DID WITH THE BROTHERS IN IRAQ AND IN 60 HOURS CUT THE POWER OFF. Congratulations Arizona for enforcing federal law. Our economy can't survive with expanding entitlement programs, out-of-control spending, his kind of national debt, and open immigration. This democrat congress attacks Janet Brewer in an attempt to generate votes but we need to vote in November for true Constitutional Conservatives that will enforce our laws, freeze spending, and reverse all their tax increases that will result in job losses and kill job growth. H.R. 4213 is in the Senate which will significantly increase taxes on small businesses, killing jobs. This is irresponsible with such high unemployment. We need people like Chris Christie and Janet Brewer in Congress and the White House.
