« Stand with Arizona - Suppor... | Front page | The Left-Wing Boycott is Ta... »

Arizona is under heavy fire from the left-wing bullies for trying to protect its own citizens from the ravages of illegal immigration.  The entire state is being attacked as 'racist,' 'nazi' and 'extremist.'  (Sound familiar?)  The left-wing bullies believe they can target, isolate and neutralize Arizona, and thereby pressure the people of Arizona to stop enforcing the law.

If you agree with the left-wingers, then you should feel free to stay home and go on with your life.

If, however, you DO support Arizona, we think it's time for all of us to...

STAND WITH ARIZONA!!!

On Saturday, May 29th, patriots from across the United States will be coming together in Tempe to Stand With Arizona and against the left-wing bullies.

If you support Arizona's right to pass reasonable laws for the protection of its own citizens, you are hereby invited to JOIN US on May 29th at Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

Arizona needs our support!  Will you answer the call?

by Steve Konty  2010-05-07 08:48:05
We ALL as legal US citizens must stand and support Arizona and enforce our nations immigration laws and deny AMNESTY for anyone who voilates the law by illegal entery into the US, end of story.

not all steve, I"M NOT, but i agree with what you are saying
by Cynthia  2010-05-14 10:34:13
Hooray for AZ!!! If only the rest of the country would wake up and take a stand. I found the list of AZ companies from whom I intend to make purchases from (even though I haven't in the past).
Is there a list of CA companies that we can boycott??
btw - CA has a similar law on the books which it doesn't enforce. It doesn't seem as if the libs are aware of this.

I agree Sal.
I too wish Texas leadership had the clear vision, the insight, and the courage of Gov. Jan Brewer.
Texas has the same problem and illegal immigration is ruining our state and this country.
Anyone who fails to realize that need only go to Youtube and search for/watch IMMIGRATION GUMBALLS to get an education about where we are and where we are going.
God Bless America and Save her from socialism, liberalism, and idiocy.

Allen, we in TX and those in California should 'oust' the current leadership for those individuals willing to stand up for, protect, and defend their state and this country. If they will not, then vote them out!
Rick Perry needs to go.

It took a women to defend our natl. freedoms. Our congress is destructive, selling us out for the illegal alien vote.
by Gary Ryan  2010-05-09 12:55:08
they should stop this congress;vote all of the Democrats out of office, including the president, who couldn't give a dam about us anyway, and put in some one like McCain who will get us back our Senors cost of living increases that the president took away from us.put in someone with back bone note a woos!
by Mickey  2010-05-11 19:16:20
I agree our congress is selling us out,so is our government, give me a honest republican. Not an illegal pressident that has no background that we as citizens can see.Closed to us..CHANGE WHAT CHANGE. Has not helped the US citizens...show me..speak out AMERICANS before it's to late
by  anonymous (BFE)  2010-05-14 15:36:16
Illegal alien votes! You can't vote if you're not legal, at least not yet.
by LEGAL IMMIGRANT  2010-05-23 11:20:41
The lack of scrutiny at voters registration allows ILLEGAL fake documentation to produce a vote that should NOT count. Thanks to Gov. Brewer only LEGAL IMMIGRANTS who have made it to Citizen can vote. Arizona is making it count for something to be in the LEGAL immigration process. We hope the entire country will follow this example.
by Liz  2010-05-07 09:41:39
Since when is it offensive to enforce a law?
by Mark  2010-05-09 19:17:05
McCain isnt the answer either, he has had 26 years or so, time for new blood to lead Arizona, no one sitting should remain. Hayworth and McCain? Cmon AZ, we can do better...we have to if you want the change you seek, otherwise you are wasting your efforts with those who have evidently failed. you gonna fix it or flow with it?
by  Purple Frog  2010-05-14 21:08:28
SURELY you know that the Democrats use underhanded tactics to get hords of votes...EVEN those of illegals who are only concerned about maintaining their US hand-outs.
by ethel  2010-05-07 09:47:23

I am OUTRAGED on how the Illegals come to this contry and take form the US people, 1st using our hospitals to have their babies, then getting the US peoples money to support hose children because they are NOW US citezens.

by Misstrial  2010-05-09 19:12:18
Translation form "Arizona" above:

"Arizona is written in Spanish, not English, so as you invaded these territories now it's you, is still part of Mexico."

NOPE. AZ was purchased from Mexico in int The Gadsden Purchase in 1853. Sorry, you lose again.

If you actually read SB1070 bill you will see that it reads 17 pages almost word for word as the Federal law that has been on the books for more than 70 years. Therefore using this logic, the US Federal government must be racists too. I live in AZ and am tired of others, the President especially, calling us racists. We are feed up with illegal activity with concerns to murder, rape, drug and human trafficking, extortion, and home invasion to name a few, that a porous border allows. I cannot imagine me %u201Ccrashing%u201D into another country illegally and expecting them to take care of me and use their facilities without doing my part. Let%u2019s take Mexico. If I were to go there illegally I can be questioned and detained by legal Mexican civilians. That%u2019s right a civilian can ask for my papers and detain me with any means necessary. I will then be facing a possible two years in prison and anyone who helped me can face up to ten years in prison. SB1070 allows our police
by Al  2010-05-19 18:22:35
Leon, no seas estupido (don;t be stupid) if you want to be in the USA so bad, why don't you demand that your mexican leaders change the laws in Mexico and adopt the U.S. Constitution and our laws. In no time, you will ahve Mexico becoming more prosperous. Stop invading us!!!!! In other words, change Mexico to be more like the U.S. so you don't have to come here illegally....
by  Darla  2010-05-07 10:15:19
IT IS THE LAW! A good one I might add. If the government had enforced this years ago, we might not be in the financial mess we are in today! American's have pride and for the most part abid by our laws. If you go through the process of becoming legal, you have the respect and the love for our country as we do. For some reason the illegals think we owe them something as well as our government. I think not! GO ARIZONA! Perry, get off the fence & get tough.
by Pat Caldwell  2010-05-07 10:23:55
I am all for Arizona! Thank God some one has finally taken a stand!!! I wish Texas would be the next state to follow in Arizona's steps but I don't see that happening because Gov. Perry is afraid to take a stand on anything for fear of ruining his chances to run in the next presidential election. We need to think about that long and hard, if he isn't willing to take a stand now, what would he do if he actually won a presidential election??? I really don't see that happening!
by Raymond Batten  2010-05-07 10:23:57
If the Feds continue to NOT uphold the law it is essantail that the State make every effort to protect their citizens. This is a line in the sand for all of America.
by Mark  2010-05-09 19:18:45
Pat, this is it in a nutshell, simple and to the point, if he wont do this now, what would he do if he ascended to a higher office? if they are in, they are out!
by Tina  2010-05-07 10:25:10
This is an extremely important issue. As Texans we similar problems we need to support them in word and deed.
Too bad Rick Perry isn't doing the same. He is not true conservative.
by Sara  2010-05-07 10:25:34
God Bless you Arizonans!! I stand with you in spirit - to the death if necessary. I pray that all 50 states follow your lead. Those who want open borders can all flow into Mexico.

by ttj  2010-05-14 17:31:59
God also be wishin dis world widdout dem criminals.

Think about it. All countries and states have laws to notify people in society about what is and isn't permitted in their territories. You too can become a brother with the people of Arizona by simply abiding by their laws. It's not too hard. Just show your passport or drivers' license when asked by a police officer. Even places like Haiti and Jamaica have laws. Arizona is within its right. You may figure it out...someday.
by Paul Zimmermann  2010-05-07 10:48:59
We must Stand with Arizona! The Foreign Nationals (Illegals) are getting better representation than US Citizens and Legal Immigrants. The Democrats are more concerned with any foreign national that walks across our boarders, than they are USA Citizens. If you look at the polls for both Heath Care and now the Illegal Immigration issue, the polls clearly say that the US overwhelmingly did not support Health Care and that we do not support Immigration Reform the way they are pushing it. The voice of the Illegals is being heard over the voice of the US Citizens. We need to throw these Bums out of Office!
by gary ryan  2010-05-09 12:43:50
I couldn't agree more.I had to personally deal with these types of people as an armed security officer for over a year. They use to tell me we're going to take over America one house at a time.I told all of them .then you should bring a lot of body bags when you try it cause very few aregoing back standing up!
by Linda McAlister  2010-05-07 11:01:44
AZ has every right to ENFORCE the law. We have a federal government that is given rights to everyone but American citizens at the expense of us citizens. AZ has every right to defend itself and I hope TX will do the same. We're in a crisis. Shut the border! there is a criminal drug and terrorist element aside from ILLEGALLY entering this country. This goes for all ILLEGALS, not just from Mexico.
by Dennis Hillery  2010-05-07 11:19:39
Yes, I will show up to support Arizona%u2019s right to know who is in its state and support this border State%u2019s right to defend its border from illegal immigrants. The State and local police officers requiring nationality identification must be supported, upheld, and employed by every Southern border State, if not all Continental states. The conflict between the Pro enforcement and Con enforcement groups is simply a choice of support of the Law or support of the Lawbreaker. Every thing else is secondary. Are we a nation that believes in our laws, obeys those laws, supports (no, demands) enforcement of those laws, or, will we become a Nation where local warlords, international drug gangs, corrupt government officials, corrupt police officials turn us into a third world country?
Let me know when and where a rally or rallies are planned for. Thanks for taking the lead on this.

We must all support AZ doing the Fed's job for them. If something is not done, we, in Texas will be having the same problem soon.
by Blane  2010-05-07 13:26:27
I can't go to Arizona at this time, but I do support Arizonas descision to pass such a law. They must do whatever is necessary to gain fiscal responsibility. The Federal Gov has no interest in protecting our citizens or closing the border or following our constitution. I only hope that more states follow Arizonas lead and pass similar laws. I think most states politicians are fearful of doing such a thing, but we must encourage them to do so.
by Gary Ryan  2010-05-09 12:49:35
it's time for McCain to get going to win the presidency and get back for all of the people of Arizona our rights as citizens the senors cost of living increases, and get rid of a president that is going to charge every American that sells his or her house a percentage of the house sales in taxes, according to the new Health care bill;check it out people!!

by Kevin Savage  2010-05-07 15:11:44
If we don't start making the time to get involved and stand up for our rights then we may just lose our country. Stand Up For Common Sense! Also, I would like to suggest that we start protesting in front of left media stations and start demanding they report all the news in an unbiased format. If more left Americans were exposed the to the truth...they just might feel differently!!!!!!!!!

Is it "profiling" to use police resources responsibly? Look at the demographics and immigration policy of MEXICO - written by MEXICAN government officials. OVER 90% of their demographic mix is Mexican or Amer-Indian. So, logically around 90% of the stops will be Mexicans, and rightly so. And Mexico's immigration policy is draconian - "show your bank account so you can prove you are financially not a burden to the country of Mexico" - "get private health insurance so you are not a burden" - sounds like the MONOCHROMATIC COUNTRY of MEXICO is sure ready to defend HER CITIZENS. Let's not all Obama-goosestep our way to the destruction of America. I live here in Arizona - and the war has already broken out. They want Azatlan - they don't want to be American citizens so amnesty does NOT MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL.
by Charles  2010-05-19 00:04:07
You stupid shit, if you had any balls and where any part American you would realize what is happening. As much as I used to be thrilled to see Democrats take over this crap going over now is nothing short of monopoly. Of course if you let a bunch of ILLEGALS in they are going to vote democratic. This is so sad for America. We are done, we WILL be the next 3rd world country thanks to shit like this.

Sadly, the news has gone out of it's way to misinform anyone they can. People aren't reading the bill, they're reading fiction and sadly, they believe it.

All American citizens have a moral obligation to defend this country from all foreign (illegal immigrants) and domestic (our Congress) threats. Arizona is the first state to do so and should be supported 100%. We in this country are fast approaching the day when the welfare folks will out number the tax paying citizens. On that day we are doomed. The Democrats want to make all illegals citizens and they will gain entry into the Fed's health and welfare systems. They will respond by voting to keep the Dems in Congress to preserve the status quo. This a power grap by the Democrats to end the two party system in this nation.
by  Standish  2010-05-07 23:02:45
I just saw Governor Jan Brewer's ad challenging president Obama to do his job. Its fantastic. Governor Brewer has not backed down one iota. She has never even flinched, but has stood firm and been the kind of leader the American people need. I'd like to say that I would definitely support Governor Brewer if she were to decide to run for President of the United States in 2012. She's the perfect candidate, she's eminently qualified, and she epitomizes the kind of leadership this nation needs so desperately. She's the best prospect I've seen yet. If she runs... she has my vote and my full support.
by Jan K  2010-05-13 00:14:50
Way to go Gov. Jan Brewer. Don't let anyone bully you. president Obama is being a puppet for someone and doesn't even do a good job at that. Time to change things where you can. You go, Girlfriend, you go. Hang tough, and as we breast cancer survivors say, "Fight like a girl."

And perhaps our state governments will take the hint that we want to follow Arizona's lead! Heaven knows here in Illinois, we have a serious illegal alien problem and we're how far from the border?

Legal Permanent Residents can have Arizona driver's licenses, right? When my legal immigrant wife naturalizes, she could have her driver's license and Social Security card with her, but her accented English would make the police think she isn't carrying her Resident Card. Another citizen wrongly hauled off, and we will sue big time when it happens.

BS"D

The Left does this to Israel as well, comparing the Jewish state to Nazis, calling it racist, organizing boycotts against Israel, opposing Israel's security fence, demanding a Palestinian "right of return" to flood a pre-1967 Israel with a majority Arab population. Anyone who thinks that Israel's problems are not also Americas as well is fooling themselves. We are dealing with Mexican irredentism and reconquestism right on our doorstep wioth those who refuse to accept the verdict of the Mexican War of 1848, just as Israel deals with Islamist irredentism of those who refues to accept the verdict of Israel's 1948 War of Independence.

Give 'em hell Arizona! The current laws must be upheld and no one should be allowed to enter this country illegally and the Federal government must be held accountable.

You know the saying, Do or Die - this is a defining moment. The Bystander Effect is where no one does anything because the belief is someone else will. Like what happened with Kitty Genovese. OK - this is our moment, Law-Abiding Citizens. This is IT. You must really think this through because if this crucial issue is not something that motivates you, what will? The very IDEA of being a citizen is under fire here. Why be a citizen when you can work for money under the table, pay no taxes, get free services. No wonder it's a seductive alternative? And we, the law-abiding tax-paying CITIZENS are demonized and made to feel like suckers? I'll be there. Please be there too.

Could someone please inform El Paso to take down the two (2) or threee (3) billboards they have positioned next to the I-10 outside of Benson and Willcox?

They are advertising their city within Arizona which I think is improper since they voted recently to boycott AZ due to the immigration legislation.

They should *take down* their ad since as a conservative Californian, I am standing with AZ.

I pass through AZ on the I-10 and am going to boycott El Paso due to their stance.

btw, El Paso is largely populated with anchor babies now adults of those who illegally crossed the Border a generation or so ago.

Ignore El Paso and SF and L.A. and the rest of them.

As a Californian, I can promise you that except for the campaign donors, the vast majority of the populations in these locales spends sixty percent of the their take-home on rent. They have no money.

What is so hard about passing the immigration test's to become a citizen? I don't get it? My Granpa and grandma did it.
by Jay Mack  2010-05-09 23:59:31
What I don't understand is WHAT PART OF "ILLEGAL" DON'T THESE IDIOTS UNDERSTAND?? If you or I did something illegal, where would we end up?? IN JAIL, that's where. I have no problem with people coming here LEGALLY and working to become citizens, my grandfather came here from England, became a citizen, and worked all his life to provide for his family. Now our government overlooks the word "illegal" and gives them the same status and benefits I get after working over 34 years. Just doesn't add up.

I am a man but I can't tell you how glad I am to see women take this country to where it needs to be. We have been waiting for years to see something get done on immigration, and nothing has ev er changed. It's about time we vote for the female Arizona Governor for President. She has got her head on straight, and would lead our country in the right direction. She's #1 in my book. Obama is #456,654,000,000,000.
by IBMMuseum  2010-05-10 17:54:35
I'd like to ask a few questions about how my family should react while in Arizona. First, let me provide some background. For almost all of the last 25 years I have served my country in both the Army and Navy. A few years ago I legally immigrated my wife and stepchildren.

Only my wife is currently required (by Federal immigration law) to carry her Resident Card (since she is 18 years or older), my minor stepchildren do not. My wife will have the ability to naturalize (become a U.S. citizen) in less than a year. Once a U.S. citizen, she is not required to carry proof of her citizenship.

What if my minor stepchildren are stopped, they don't normally carry proof of their immigration status?

Once my wife becomes a citizen, what if she is stopped?

With their accents and/or features, it is recognizable that they are immigrants...

We are fully complying with Federal law, and followed all of the rules to legal immigrate my family. Does my wife have to carry h
by Sue  2010-05-12 09:57:05
"Thanks" for adding to the problem, IBM !
YES, have ALL of them, your wife and her now, thanks to you, TWO more so to be citizens, carry their papers....if you are upset by the hassle, you should have thought about that BEFORE you decided to marry a foreigner...What wouldn't any American women have have you, so you had to cross the border and look for a woman who wanted a green card ?
by IBMMuseum  2010-05-13 13:55:21
I don't understand - My family immigrated legally, doesn't the TEA Party support that? Does 25 years of military service count for nothing? The American women I tried to marry didn't have the values I expected, and you can't fight true love when you find it.

You belittle my wife and call us part of the problem. She has assimilated very well, possibly quicker and better than your ancestors. There are four Legal Permanent Residents in my family.

Carrying "papers" isn't a solution for us, but I see how my questions are answered here, maybe I need to talk to the other guys...
by  AZ Native  2010-05-13 17:07:15
Dear IBM, not to worry, we are all in this together, all residents and visitors to AZ are now going to need to be more diligent in keeping their Driver License and/or other Government issued ID's with them when away from home and as you're family members are here legally and have their ID's, all will be fine. By the way, God Bless you for Serving!!
by IBMMuseum  2010-05-14 10:47:43
My 10-year old needs to carry her Resident Card with her, even if not Federally required? Once my wife naturalizes, does she, with her accented English, have to carry proof unlike the native-born? Those that aren't impacted just say "Carry papers, you'll be fine.". My family complies with Federal requirements and immigrated legally, but under the new Arizona law would be treated as an underclass.

That certainly sounds like a different set of requirements for my family, and we would not be allowed to be part of your togetherness.
by William Capener  2010-05-10 18:05:08

Most of us are sons and daughters of LEGAL immigrants. I'm sick to my stomach and fearful concerning the "change" of America's heart and soul. We need to get rid of the liberal/progressive leaders.

If you came here illegally...GET OUT or be DEPORTED!!! No birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrant mothers. Attrition through enforcement via work place raids, e-verify and increased vigalance by all law enforcement personnel.

Can you say "ILLEGAL" aliens? What's so hard about understanding this simple concept: PROTECT OUR BORDERS! Keep it up, Arizona. I'll spend my vacation there.

Nice to see a state in the west passing trailblazing legislation that won't destroy quality of life (such as California). Here's hoping that Texas follows the lead, regardless of what our Governor says.

The State of Arizona has the rights to protect its borders and legal citizens under the 4th Amendment.
Every State should be supporting Arizona. Thank You Arizona for making the move on illegals who slap the face of US citizens and legal immigrants who stood in long lines to get to the US.
by Homer Goodrich  2010-05-11 17:28:53
I stand with Arizona, finally someone in government has the balls to stand up for what is right. If people want to boycott the state, you probably didn't need them there anyway. Stand Strong, we are behind you and ignore what the morons who oppose you and the white house says about you. WE ARE WITH YOU!

by Dale  2010-05-11 17:47:19
I support Arizona in spirit, but can't be there in person. If we can deport the illegals there will be jobs for Americans. Enforcing the law is NOT racist.

Now is the time to enforce the legality of naturalization. If President Obama does not side with the laws of this country, what business is it to have him as our President? I commend Arizona and other states for siding with immigration laws.
by Jan K  2010-05-13 00:20:30
Anyone ever wonder why Obama is trying to do nice things for the illegal immigrants in this country? Could it be that he is one of them? Except instead of from Mexico a country called Kenya even though Hawaii supposedly verified his birth certificate. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I want to know who I'll be coming to hear and not a bunch of Libertarians urging us to legalize dope like at the Tax Day TEA Party.

Tea parties tell us they're non-partisan politics, but Libertarian is partisan just like Repub or Demoncrat.

And could you be verify to be sure that you don't sell campaign ads to those with rap sheets?

If anyone thinks this is about legal or illegal immigration your stuck in the forest!! Amnesty for 12 million new voters spells big trouble for anyone that believes in real constitutional governance. The socialists in this country are counting upon those voters to stem the tide against them in November!!!
by Lynnda Smith  2010-05-11 19:07:08
these people are taking what we have worked hard for all these years. They don't deserve spicial treatment. Between them and our president this country is going to hell in a hand basket. Either become a US citizen or go home. Support Arizona

Our country has lost its mind. AZ has a right to protect itself, for our socialist, Chicago thug resident in chief surely won't take the side of ordinary Americans
by Kathy   2010-05-11 19:21:51
Yes, I stand with Arizona and am appalled that Tuscon, Flagstaff and the Suns haven't. I wonder if they thought about the 70% of us that agree with 1070, who paid for their stadium with tax dollars? Why would anyone think it is OK to come to America or any country illegally and then be upset when the law enforced.
How wrong is it that 4 young students here in Phoenix choose to wear shirts celebrating their American heritage on May 5th and were sent home because it interfered with Cinco de Mayo. Double standards do not belong in a democracy. It is time to take control of our country and future.
by Ben Hartley  2010-05-11 19:31:21
Well, there's one 'damyankee' that's with you! (I'm from New Hampshire.) Even this far away, we have an illegal alien problem.

by Fred Maden  2010-05-11 20:01:04

i've lived in california for 25 years. growing up i've seen the colors change from white to hispanic to black. i've had to compete with the hispanics for a job in the wine country where certain wine gurus would go to mexico and bring them into the country illegaly. we have to many people in this country already we need to close the borders for immigration all together and clean out the ones who are illegal. then we need to do the same to our whole government. kick out everybody combine all the parties into one and and follow california with going green. then make some stricter laws on immigration and do it moderatly. illegal immigration is all over the whole country. we are in hard times now because of this currant government system. who hunger for oil money and power. we need a government who will care for the people and the land. go green and be organic. the earths fighter
by Bill Straub  2010-05-11 20:06:53
You all be the first so that some other states will follow and we can put this mess to rest.
by Joe Sepe  2010-05-11 20:09:05
As I understand it, the Arizona law is nothing more then the enforcement of federal law. If that is so, then if the Arizona law is as the left say's, "fachist and un American," then it would follow that the federal law as written must also be... or am I missing something? In my humble opinion it is the left that is once again Fachist and Un American.
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 12:13:24
Joe Sepe - you are seriously NOT "missing something"! you are exactly right. it's just proof that those who oppose this law haven't READ it or they have financial agendas that keep them from wanting it to be enforced. i prefer not to see the opposer as left or right, but wrong...period.
by Tom Samuelson  2010-05-11 20:16:39
Love to be there. Live in MN but will visit this summer and spend my money!!!!!!!
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 12:10:26
i just want to thank you for your support. we need to prove to our opposers that we can thrive without them. they need to be taught a valuable lesson: try to divide America and all you get for your efforts is ignored. that's all it takes America - just ignore the naysayers who would destroy this country for their own greedy agendas. so Tom Samuelson - COME ON DOWN!!! you are always welcome here in the beautiful state of Arizona.
by Greg Hughes  2010-05-11 20:30:04
Now it is Georgia's turn to do the right thing and pass a bill like Arizona's
by Rod Schooler  2010-05-11 20:39:35
WE NEED TO SEAL OFF THE BORDER TO SEE WHO IS COMING IN THAT IS THE BOTTOM LINE, THANK U ARIZONA.
by Anna Aldredge  2010-05-11 20:41:47
Jan Brewer stands out from all other governors. It's about time that we handled the illegals the proper way. I live in California and we're bankrupt largely due to illegals. Our idiot governor is just that. He won't lift a finger.

We have to watch out that Obama won't pull the amnesty deal. We cannot afford that in any state. GO ARIZONA!
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 12:05:44
Anna Aldredge - thank you for your support. there is a growing attitude here in AZ that Jan Brewer should run for president. she has proven to love this country and to listen to it's people above the threats and ballyhoo of the opposition. please keep your support going by pushing this law for your own state. and by all means - ignore that idiotic boycott! i refuse to let illegal invaders and their puppets divide this country. that is ofcourse their plan: divide and conquer. we musn't let that happen. God Bless Americans! and God bless you Anna.

God bless you clmullins. i went to a rally in front of our state capitol, for the hispanic opposition to this law. mexican flags were flown; all speeches were in spanish. i spoke up to a man with a sign that said GOD BLESS AMERICA and above those words was a swastika. i was appalled. i tell you this b/c he was an hispanic male who told me in broken english that he was from DENVER. i asked him how he had the gall to put those 2 opposing things together on the same sign and carry it in front of MY state capitol. he apologized for it and i could tell it was b/c he was afraid i might be with ICE or some such thing. he disgusted me and i'm absolutely sure he was another illegal pos. thank you for your support of this most important law. we have to rid this country of these beggars who demand we give them handouts then give us back nothing but our own bitten hand.
by Sheila  2010-05-11 21:28:42
I am sorry that I will not be able to support you in Tempe but be assured that I support your efforts. No one is telling immigrants, from any country, not to come to the United States. What we are saying is to do it legally and make a contribution to this great country instead of just taking from it.

by Alex Yaron  2010-05-11 22:26:06
As an immigrant who came to this country at the age of six speaking only Spanish, I am a firm opponent of those who champion illegal immigration and amnesty for those who were able to get past the Border Patrol. All the adults in my extended family are immigrants who waited our turn before coming to America. We did not think we were special or deserved special treatment, we were just grateful. Like all the other nations of the world, the U.S. has the right to set it's own immigration policy, and none of those here illegally has any right to tell us how to change it.
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 11:48:21
Alex Yaron - you are EXACTLY who should be angry with this administration's dealings with the illegals in this country. all i can think of is what a slap in the face it is to those like you, who have borne the weight of doing it right in order to become proud and free American citizens. now here comes along a president and his entourage who say - to hell with you all! anyone who wants to come to this country illegally - COME ON DOWN! and after 9/11/01. how can our leaders be so uncaring and cold to the country who put them in those positions of power? we need to correct all the mistakes that were made when we put the opposers of this bill in political power. we need to take this country back from those who would sell us out so cheaply. thank God for you Alex Yaron and all those out there like you who understand that.

I am from Illinois, born and raised. But I have vacationed and lived in Phoenix. The first time I visited Phoenix was in 1983 right out of college. I moved out to Phoenix to live in 1999. Stayed there and worked at Sun Health corporation for two years. Came back to Illinois for family reasons. I loved AZ! When I was there I met one of Sheriff Joe's deputies and he was a good conservative man. He said they were having a hell of a time with illegals already 10 years ago. I feel for you people and I am with you 100 percent. So is my family here in Illinois. I also know of at least 10 other people who live near me that support your new law also. Believe me people are angry all over the country with illegals. If I had the means to get there for this event I would do so but I'll be with you in spirit and in prayer! We must stop the liberals from taking over this country! We must get back to the constitution and the values that our fore fathers brought forth. It states i

As a Southerner, I am shocked to see illegals invading my area. At one time the illegal infestation was only a south Western problem, now it is all of our problem.
It is time for all Americans to stand and fight back or hand over this great land, I salute Arizona for taking the first step.
by Sandib  2010-05-12 00:29:43
Is it true that Jon Voight will be at the rally? Just heard that at my Tea Party meeting tonight. Also, some other big name will be there yet to be announced.

Reading these posts from all over the country supporting us brings tears to my eyes. We are really getting beat up here in AZ by the liberals. You all are wonderful people and I want to thank you so much for your support.
by lizrochford  2010-05-15 11:40:17
sandib - although i completely agree with you on the matter of AZ getting beat up - i feel we need to be a bit careful on who we think it is doing the beating. there are so many liberals out there who totally agree with this law. we musn't put them all in the opposition basket. the truth is most of the opposers are democrats/libs, but mostly WHAT they are are individuals with their own agendas. i don't consider them good Americans (including our president). i consider them con artists just trying to make a dishonest buck off the good people of America.

Arizona, I support your immigration laws. I wish I could take off work to help your cause but, I got bills to pay.
by Gary & Marie Ryan  2010-05-12 01:47:16
yes we sure do agree with all that you say.vote in a senator that has common sense and can see all of the free charges that these immigrants are makingon our system.send all of the illegals back to their country and you will see that the cost of living here will go down not up.These illegals are killing our men;assaulting our woman & children and telling us that they are going to take over our country one house at a time.this is not going to happen.Ask the Japs;what happened to vthem will for sure happen to these people if this keeps up!!!!

I support and respect the courage it took to pass the law to protec
the citizens,it good to know that someone elected by the people are doing the job they were elected to do. In stead of trying to change the world that so many brave ones died for. this is not the America that I grew up in. Now seniors cant say a prayer before a meal because the program is funded by the Fed. Govt. Its not there money its our money that we pay in high taxes.

Arizona has the right to pass resonable laws, and illegals, need to listen to what our citizens are saying.
Stop these left wing radicals!
by Bob and Madonna Robertson  2010-05-12 07:30:42
In 1907 Philadelphia, Teddy Rooosevelt believed in legal immigration. True then and true today. Something mut be done.
by Sandra Greeson  2010-05-12 07:36:57
Arizona is only trying to abide by an already established law. Immigration should be through legal avenues. They should be able to protect their citizens--that's what government is supposed to do!!

by Sherry  2010-05-12 07:58:15
I have good friends from Russia and Mexico, who came here legally, hoping for a better life;they work hard and RESPECT our laws. The ILLEGALS act like we OWE them and have NO respect for our laws or citizens. I Stand with Arizona.

I am in FL. and support AZ. who has the fortitude to uphold the law of the land which is the federal law that Washington DC refuses to uphold.
by Albert Henson  2010-05-12 08:34:52
I would like to see this Law adopted in all states
by Donya   2010-05-12 08:46:43
If there was any way possible, I would be there!! Our Country is in serious attack from all quarters, the last thing we need is an attack from within by illegal immigrants who are bringing in drugs and violence abusing our system unlike anything we could do in Mexico!! If the information about them coming to take back this part of our Country isn't true, WHY do we not see the President of Mexico doing anything to stop it?? WHY is HE condemning this law??
by Joan DeVagno  2010-05-12 08:47:28
Illegal immigration is way out of control and every State must pass legislation. Everyone else came to the U.S. following the LAW and so should everyone else. No amnesty, welfare or free medical because the MIDDLE CLASS pays for all this NOT the Government!! Criminals, drug people and gangs make a living here causing unwanted death and violance!!! These free rides of illegal immigrants is over!!!!

Try walking into some other country including Mexico and see what happens. They're coming here for the free ride on our dime.Free school including breakfast & lunch, medical care, housing. They are not coming just for min. paying jobs. Enough already ! Now we have to bail out Greece and their socialist govt. Free handouts don't work, people do.

My father and grandfather and grandmother were all immigrants and they did it legally because it was the LAW. The lack of respect for the law by illegals is not acceptable. I totally support your actions.
Best wishes for the future.

Every state should secede from this federal illegal alien until he proves he is a natural born citizen. This dictator and his government is the worst thing, besides using our money to kill babies, that has ever happened to America. They are all, including the Supreme Court, are traitors to our Constitution, they are perjured liars in the oaths they took. He is a socialist anarchist, more Muslim than American or Bible.
by Terri Winterbottom  2010-05-12 10:56:00
I We ALL as legal US citizens must stand and support Arizona and enforce our nations immigration laws and deny AMNESTY for anyone who voilates the law by illegal entery into the US, end of story. with Steve Konty. Couldn't have said it better.
by Thomas  2010-05-12 11:09:03
Send all illegals back now, make it illegal to hire anyone without a valid green card.
by Brian Haupt  2010-05-12 11:57:17
Dont let the media keep dishonestly skewing the issue- the concern is ILLEGAL immigration, not ALL immigration. I am fully boycotting the MSM and their advertisers, INDEFINATELY. We are either a nation of laws, a REPUBLIC, or we are not. If we allow our elected officials to ignore this law, then why not pick others WE THE PEOPLE dont want, and ignore them as well?
ALL INCUMBANTS MUST GO! I am proud of Arizona for standing up to the onslaught of lies.
by lee flanders  2010-05-12 12:07:00

by Bob Farris  2010-05-12 13:22:30
Patriotic Americans supports our Constitution, laws and enforcement of the law that governing our nation. Illegal aliens do not have the right or voice in how our nation is governed or enforced. Arizona has the legal right to protect its citizens and its borders, particularly if the federal government has ignored and failed to protect its citizens. All Americans should support Arizona to enforce its rights to protect American citizens in the State. It is absolutely senseless to pass any law in our country that is not enforced. It is amazing that the Arizona immigration law is a mirror of a long standing federal law that has not been enforced by our federal government. Cheers to Arizona...

A nation that does not control its borders and enforce its immigration laws is not a sovereign nation.

A government body that does not enforce the nation's laws and honor its Constitution is a government body needing to be rejected and replaced with nobler men and women who will honor their nation%u2019s Constitution and enforce its Constitutional Laws.
by Mr & Mrs Clyde Alexander  2010-05-12 17:06:49
We TOTALLY agree with the Arizona law on the illegal immigration of people. We welcome anyone that wants to come to USA LEGALLY as long as they know that they will be responsible to show respect of our country, flag, laws and speak English! We need to protect our borders and it hasn't been done in a very long time. Our president sure isn't looking out for the American people. We need to have more courage and stand for our Constitution!
by Bob Melvin  2010-05-12 17:24:05
It isn't about the AZ law, it's about federal law. All the AZ law does is to agree to enforce existing federal laws!
by George  2010-05-12 18:33:18
I support the governor and the people of the US in standing up to persons that are in our country illegally. If these illegal citizens feel they are of such use, let them enter legally. They are overrunning our medical system, housing and key systems that have made America great.
by Glenn McDermott  2010-05-12 19:55:56
Someone must do it. The GOVT dont want to enforce the laws or build the fence.
by Byron Conn  2010-05-12 20:36:18
It's time for the citizens to take back OUR country by any means necessary. As the Declaration of Independence states we the citizens have a DUTY to throw tyrants OUT of power! Now's the time, AZ's the place!

I am from Los Angeles and feel disgraced by City Council's vote today to boycott Arizona (with the Nazi comment and all--a disgrace).

For the last few days while they were discussing it I was searching for Arizona business to buy from and I thank you for the merchants listed on this site. Stay strong guys.

Arizon is showing the rest of the country what "change we can believe in" means.
by  AZ Native  2010-05-13 18:13:47

by Jeffrey G. Wimmer  2010-05-12 23:36:28
Only open boarder socialists and racists would oppose this law. True Americans who believe in the constitution and support the laws of this country will support this law. I for one, a retired USAF member, FULLY support Gov Brewer and the state of Arizona.
by Jan Koelsch  2010-05-13 00:10:13
I cannot be at the rally but know I will be there in spirit. I am grateful that someone in this country is finally taking a stand. I am grateful your governor is a courageous and responsible woman. Kudos to your legistlature. Enough already.

Kudos to Arizona for having the courage and balls to finally take a stand on illegal immigration. We can only pray that more border states will follow suit and stop this infestation of illegal immigrants into our country.

Take your drugs, your crime and your freebies and go home. Do not come back until you are legal and can speak the language and are willing to live according to our laws values and adopt our ways of doing things including paying taxes. Absent any of that then just stay home and change your own cesspool.

AS A RESIDENT OF THE GREAT STATE OF ARIZONA, MY ETERNAL GRATITUDE AND THANKS TO ALL OF YOU STANDING WITH US IN SUPPORT OF SB1070!! Arizona is NOT a racist state, unwelcoming of immigrants, but rather a state that is suffering greatly from the consequences of ILLEGAL immigration. But for those whom may be having difficulty understanding why so many Arizonans are in support of this law, then think about this.....
Imagine, if you can, someone breaking into your home and moving their entire family in, then having "the powers that be" not only refuse to remove the trespassers, but also demand that you provide them with food, an education, and medical care. Of course if one of the trespassers happens to steal from you, or rape your wife, then "the powers that be" will agree to incarcerate the trespasser, but just to add insult to injury, you will have to foot the bill for that too!!
With a 1.3 billion dollar deficit Arizona cannot afford to continue to foot the bill for ILLEGAL immigr
by  AZ Native  2010-05-13 18:32:04
Actually, I need to correct that dollar amount, Arizona is currently running a budget deficit in excess of 3 billion dollars!!
by ed peerboom  2010-05-13 19:24:29
i believe in open borders. having said that i do not believe in giving anything away to anyboby whether it is medical, educational, housing, food...whatever. that ought to stand for citizen or non-citizen. if the govt. is going to continue their give away programs at the tax payers expense then lock down the borders! if we stop the give aways then most of the border issues will disapear. if we stop our social programs here you can bet people not now working--will work rather than go hungry. also, as an aside, legalize drugs-all of them! that will solve about 90% of that problem in short order. then if anyone hurts or threatens anyone while under the influence- drop the hammer--hard! this is all common sense and will all be ignored. vote libertarian! they are the only ones with real solutions.
by Bob Velon  2010-05-13 23:13:18
Stand tough and tell the feds where to stuff it. If they had enforced the border protection you would have had to resort to this. So he calls you a racist. He calls the Tea Party Patriots racist too and enemies of the state. I am beginning to wonder who the racist here is. The king imposter is a racist I beleive....
by Bruce  2010-05-13 23:29:26
I'm not trying to be an ass but do you think we need to stop legal immigration as well as illegal. The great U.S. seems to be full. If we don't stop all immigration for awhile we will have even more trouble due to the alarming size of our population. Welfare and other govt hand out systems will be more stressed than they are now. This Country can't continue with all the hand outs and be fiscally responsible. It just seems to me that it is very crowded and I don't see any relief especially when Americans decide that they need 8,10,15 or 19 children. Just my opinion.
by  wellsparents  2010-05-14 01:27:14
Bruce, you're basically saying the same thing my dad said 20 yrs ago. He said that we need to close our borders to people wanting to come in here for jobs and free everything, BUT allow those who want to leave to do so for the good of our country. Until all Americans have jobs, we don't need to let others in to take these jobs and put our people on welfare or unemployment.
God Bless Arizona. You're doing the right thing. Texas, yer next!!!
by Sandy Briggs  2010-05-13 23:49:31
Arizona, you have done a terrific thing passing laws to protect your citizens (American and LEGAL ONES). Is about time someone has the gumption to do this and my hat is off to you and I support you fully!

I've always loved AZ They dont want a cesspool like LA WHy are we throwing AZ citizens & legal residents under the train for a bunch of illegals who suck up all our resources that should be used for our people first. I worry about the drug cartels-Mex gov is loosing that war we will have more troubles on the border if something isnt done. I hope CA is overrun with the illegals from AZ
Want to move to AZ one day; get out of CA I will buy and support products that support AZ. soon as I can afford it Ill take a trip there too.

by Vicki Baas  2010-05-14 04:05:10
I support Arizona 100% It's about time someone enforce the laws. These illegals are a huge deficit. They are bringing diseases across the borders with them, leprosy, TB, Hepatitis, Changas disease, etc...That alone is a reason to keep them out. The people claiming the law is "racist" are just looking for an excuse to support illegal activity. California already looks like a third world state due to the excess of illegals. It's not right that Hispanddering politicans pick and choose which laws they like and don't like to enforce. The law is the law! Enforce all the laws of the country or get out of office!
by Mary Jo Nodsle  2010-05-14 05:45:49
Arizona today.....Another state tomorrow for something else! Government needs to do their REAL JOB, instead of backing Arizona into doing it! We don't pay Arizona, we pay the cowards in Washington, and the administration that WANTS the illegals (amnesty) for their votes! What a CROCK!
by Mary Jo Nodsle  2010-05-14 05:52:37
Arizona today. Another state tomorrow for something else! We pay Washington VERY well, to do their JOBS!! Ariona got backed into this position because Washington is full of cowards, and the present administration WANTS the illegals (amnesty) for their votes. They NEED their votes, because they are all going to be HISTORY after November!! Yeah!! We will REMEMBER, in NOVEMBER!!!! "We the People" will be speaking loud and clear at the polls. Tea Partys ROCK!!!
by  pete519  2010-05-14 07:41:14
When the Federal Government fails to do its job, then the USA taxpayers and citizens have to do what is right and stand by those who believe in the constitution. I support Arizona and its citizens. I will buy their products, support their efforts and donate to help them if needed.Peter J. Tirpok, Independent voter from New Jersey.
Gov. Brewer what you are doing with the majority of the residents of Arizona is Right. Continue the fight to protect your citizens and increase public safety. We the people have to stand up and it appears that is what we are doing. The left might be vocal, but we are right to defend our country....Remember November 2, 2010 when we have the power to vote them out...JUST DO IT!
by John Q.  2010-05-14 07:52:53
The Feds must secure the border. What's been happening in Arizona with crime due to ILLEGAL Immigration is coming to your neighborhood soon, you can count on it. Not to mention the abhorrent environmental damage caused by thousands passing through Arizona each day. Trash, clothes, plastic bags and bottles, human excrement, etc. cover our national parks and wildlife riparian areas... it's obscene! I've seen it with my own eyes for years. What Arizona is doing will only help touch on the problem of those already across, as the Cartels control that border, importing not just drugs, but crime, identity theft, rape, extortion, kidnapping, human trafficking, you name it; and cash money flows back to them. Americans must take a stand and say enough is enough. Fix the border first, then talk about the next step. Congress and the President lied to us going back to the 80's, the last time they talked amnesty and the double-talk lie called "comprehensive reform." Don't be fooled again people.
by Jean K. Allen  2010-05-14 08:43:23
Let Arizona be a shining example for aggresive action against illegal immigration. You have my support!
by heidi  2010-05-14 18:49:56
Thank you Jean for your posting. I think the people that think we shouldn't close our border need to read your post. I have seen pictures of all of this, but not on national news, Fox News did film on the border. Our liberal media needs to get down to the border and live there, maybe they would change their minds, but I doubt it I don't think they want to change their minds.
by Robert L. Abrams  2010-05-14 09:17:33

There is nothing so vile as watching theses protesters carry signs with a nazi "swastika" to equate the actions , of the citizens of Arizona. This shows the mindless heart of those who protest. As a Jewish man whose family lost members, in the holocaust...I and others of the Jewish population of America are grieved with this insensitivity
that these"minorities", would stoop to equating their support of"illegal" immigration...to the horrors of Germany! There is NOTHING that compares, and these people are not only deceived but need to be reprimanded, for their actions, under the Federal HATE crime Bill! So I encourage the people of Arizona not only to STAND
firm but also to refute, the actions of these fictitious ignorant demonstrators.

by Paul Kelly  2010-05-14 09:53:10

by liz rochford  2010-05-15 11:18:05

by Susan D. Granger  2010-05-14 10:12:42
Stand strong, Arizona, we are all with you 100%. If only the other 49 states would have your guts, not to mention the idiots in Congress and the White House. I will not visit ANY city or state that boycotts you, including Boston. Proud Massachusetts resident who supported Scott Brown.
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 11:13:20
God Bless you Susan D. Granger. i don't want to live to see the day that invaders from other countries can split this country and it's loyalties. it is quickly becoming that you are loyal to America and want it protected from border invaders, or you want to give this country to whoever chooses to cross it's borders illegally. keep in mind that they call law 1070 racist. it never anywhere mentions any race. it does NOT give anyone the right to abuse anyone of ANY color, race, creed or religion. all one has to do to agree with it is READ it. i think that speaks volumes about who opposes it, don't you?

Awakened Patriot - do you know that El presidente Calderon is coming this thursday to speak in front of the senate to tell them that he will not tolerate this bill and just what exactly are they going to do about it? i don't even know how to take that seriously, but i must. we all must. they will listen to him and you KNOW they will. he needs to be asked what HIS laws re: immigration are and how HE has them enforced. they are much the same, but much more stringent and his enforcement of them is simply put - ugly. we need to take this country back from those who would sell it to the highest, most threatening bidder. GOD BLESS AMERICANS!
by Awakened Patriot  2010-05-17 09:06:05

On May 29th, ask them to explain why they are allowing illegal aliens in Arizona to not only remain on U.S. soil, but also allowing them to commit the criminal acts of threatening the lives of Arizona law enforcement officers and the lives and well being of Arizona citizens?

syke, they are all over the broadcast. you no longer have my pet business, no dove products. you name it. I hhope they pack up and get out of arizona before they are all filing bankcrupt. Way to go. Thanks

As a senior adult with health problems I will not be able to attend on May 29, but will forard information to all my family and friends.

As a native Texan who grew up in Arizona (Tucson, 1963-1969; my Dad was stationed at Davis-Monthan), you better believe I'm supporting Arizona - and so is the majority of Texas! I just found out that the (extremely liberal) city of Austin, Texas, has joined the boycott against Arizona....and I also heard just this morning that an Austin-based company is trying to build an "arena" in Las Vegas; the Clark county commissioners will discuss it next week. As soon as I get more info I will pass it along here - we MUST battle any and all who boycott Arizona - and I'll do it at the expense of Texas if need be!
Stay vigilant Arizona - NEVER back down!
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:56:43
i just realized i responded to you on someone else's comment. big oops. sorry to both of you. please read what i replied to you on jean cannoon's comment. thank you.
by jean cannoon  2010-05-14 16:22:36
Myself and most Americans support what you are ding with this law, please kepp fighting hard as we all must to to keep our country free of illegal immigrants and get rid of Obama and his corrupt croonies.
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:54:32
Chris in Texas - i think you know how much your words of encouragement mean to us here. we have no feud with a state that sees as much grief and abuse as we do. we know you support us by enlarge. but never stop letting us know that. unfortunately discouragement does happen sometimes. we need to know you and all the others are out there cheering us on and making this fight bigger than Arizona. it's about our great country being invaded from it's borders. it's about a country that is without a president who will protect us. we are basically on our own here. thank you for your understanding. i hope you and yours are reasonably safe from the individual marauders, gangbangers and cartel that we here experience constantly.
by linda  2010-05-14 17:22:33
Go Arizona I'm with you all the way!
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:47:36
thank you linda. you're wise enough to know that by being for Arizona you are actually being for the USA. our problem is everyone's problem. if we have a president who laughs at us trying to save our very lives and livelihoods from invaders, then we need to do it AROUND him, instead of with him. thank you for caring. God bless you.
by heidi  2010-05-14 18:36:01
It is now time to boycott Los Angeles. If they can boycott Arizona for their brave stance we should all boycott any Southern California vacations.
by Lee  2010-05-14 18:43:57
What time will this start? I will be driving from far away, so I don't want to miss it! It's time the "Silent Majority" stand up and make some noise!
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:44:18
Lee - i thought i saw that it would be from 7pm to 9pm. 5/29 in Tempe. come on down (or up, whichever the case may be). the police won't have to fear US throwing things at them. no doubt the opposition will be there as well, causing as much grief as only they know how. God bless you.
by  Purple Frog  2010-05-14 21:01:27
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning last November's Presidential election:

%u2022Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29
%u2022Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million

McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:

Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."
by  Purple Frog  2010-05-14 21:02:33
part 2...
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
WE MUST STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IF THE USA IS TO SURVIVE.

by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:38:52
Purple Frog - complacency and apathy are what too many of we Americans (yes, include me) have been guilty of far too long. thank you for adding your wisdom to this very real threat to the very essence of this great country. this is NOT the UNITED COUNTRIES OF THE AMERICAS - it is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. i for one, intend to help keep it that way.
by dot  2010-05-14 21:10:53
We suport AZ 1000%. Have already traveled there since the bill was passed to support them. Perhaps our President and Attorney General should actually read the bill. They might realize how foolish they look! It is a good thing!
by  Standish  2010-05-14 21:11:31
Stand firm Arizona! Don't let those boycotts get to you. You'll make a lot more money in the long run with investments and real estate sales to solid Americans. Send the sanctuary cities all teh illegal aliens they want. Let them put their money and their sanctuary city where there mouth is. Cancel those multimillion dollar contracts California ISN'T canceling in their boycott and leave some marks on their financial asse(t)s.

United We Stand!
by Randy from Illinois  2010-05-14 22:12:48
I am a Middle Class, well-educated, Independent American citizen and I would like to applaud the MAJORITY of the people in AZ that had the courage and dedication to TRUE leadership that was displayed in the passing of HB 1070. While not perfect, there needs to be a line in the sand somewhere (pun intended!) and as the old saying goes, We have to stand for something or we'll fall for anything. I personally use, "I like to keep an open mind, but not so open that my brain falls out."

I will not be able to attend the rally, but I have already cancelled my surprise anniversary trip to San Diego and have started calling resorts in Sedona.

by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:26:54
thank you for you support and for having the sense it takes to know that if our federal gov't won't do it's job, someone has to. we had to. we'd much prefer our president take this matter seriously, but he doesn't. he uses Arizona as the butt of bad jokes now. Sedona as you may already know, is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. i've hiked there and ridden through it often. enjoy your stay. God Bless you.
by Nancy  2010-05-14 22:47:26
I am a liberal myself who SUPPORTS this law and Arizona. Please do not assume that all those against it are from the left, or that all those for it are from the right.

There is a lot of crossover. Illegal immigrants must be STOPPED! I support LEGAL immigration but have not one drop of sympathy for illegal immigrants. I would gladly be willing to carry MY proof of citizenship and so should every American.

Illegals are bleeding this country dry. Arizona's law should be the law in every state in the US.
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:22:41
Nancy - we here in Arizona know that a great portion of support for this law comes from liberals. it warms my heart to know that common sense and love of this great country crosses all borders (legally, ha!) and brings us together where we might otherwise be again separated. God Bless you.
by daniel  2010-05-14 22:48:35

Arizona here i come i'm packing up and moving to arizona to support
Arizona or BUST
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 10:14:44
marion - you have brought tears to my eyes. thank God for you. if you really are coming here you will be a most welcome addition to our loving valley. there really are good and wonderful people here, but times are difficult with so many invaders set on destroying this great country just to grab what they can from it. these are trying times here. keeping that in mind - i hope you will join us. we need all the good people here we can get to fight for what is happening all across America. we will because we must prevail.
by liz rochford  2010-05-15 11:31:52
daniel, i am a citizen of Phoenix, Az. most of us here know that there are a good many liberals who join us in this battle against illegal invaders. unfortunately, most of those who oppose this bill are democrats/liberals. i'm sure you understand that. there are so many more of we honest Americans who are for the bill, but the leverage of a president who opposes it, our mayor who opposes it and all those crying out for boycotts are percentage -wise, democrats and have that unfair advantage. thank you and God Bless you for being wise enough to recognize a truth when you see it. i assume, unlike most of the opposition out there, that you've read the 1070 law. it has no connection with racism, bigotry, abuse of power or whatever it is they say it has. i'm not apologizing for anyone you may be angry with. i just want you to know that WE know here, that you are a welcome member of the sane people of Az who only want to feel protected from invaders.
by Kathy Mazzotta  2010-05-15 01:51:01
I hope Colorado will be the next state to enforce illegal immigrant laws. It appears the Federal Government won't take action.

may i suggest Bill and Connie Davis, that you take a We Love California bumpersticker, draw a line through California and write in ARIZONA. how funny would THAT be! that may make the point even more clearly. just a thought. thank you SO much for your support. God Bless you.

Idiots on the city council in Austin Tx have decided to boycott AZ. Hence the wife and I will boycott Austin and encourage all to do the same. The best voice of dissent is the dollar which Austin will see none of ours till they drop the boycott. if Rick Perry has any hair on his ass he will put a halt to all this nonsence and hold any state dollars from cities in Tx that impose boycotts. We leave our state exposed to retaliation from states and cities that don't agree with our own rules and laws we pass here. Good for you Az for standing up and defending yourselves
by K Peel  2010-05-15 12:22:38
Any city council person that is voting to Boycott Arizona is PANDERING for votes and trying to secure their re-election.

America, remember those names and kick them to the curb when they try to be re-elected.

This goes for Phil Gordon, the Mayor of Phoenix, what an embarrassment for the people of Phoenix.

Polls show 60% of America supports Arizona, Arizona is fighting the Good Fight, God Bless America
by Vicki  2010-05-15 14:44:00
MARK SPENCER - you need to get rid of Phil Gordon for someone that likes the rule of law-! Would he like it better if Fed's enforced it instead of State?
by L.A. Woman  2010-05-15 15:14:05
Just an ol' CB handle, that's all. I support Arizona 1000% in trying to protect their state and its people. Enough is enough with the continued failings of the Federal Government to secure our borders. Anyone not in support of Arizona is no doubt benefitting from illegal immigration. That could be anyone from the illegal immigrant, their employer, state/ local agencies and all the way to our current administration. After all, they are desperately seeking voters for the upcoming elections. The people have awakened and those in power are not liking it. GO ARIZONA and I'll try to make it there on the 29th!

I live in NY. I work for the Dept of V et Affairs. Ever since 911, i have been saying close the borders. i support Arizona. We need to take back the country from the left.
by L.A. Woman  2010-05-16 14:48:47
My family is blessed to know three generations of a fine family in Mazatlan, Mexico. They are highly
outraged that illegals come here and our tax dollars go to support them. They are equally upset that young girls and women cross our borders and pop out their babies. The hard working people of Mexico know their government is corrupt but they do not support their fellow citizens sneaking across our borders and sucking our resources dry.
Just remember. People coming here legally are sucking us dry, too. They are awarded benefits that you and I cannot obtain. Hundreds of thousands come here and are immediately put on the Social Security payroll even though they've never worked in this country. We need to close our borders completely and allow our country bounce back. Then consider letting others come in but only with proof of income and residence.
When my friend went to Germany in the mid-80's, she had to regulary prove she had an income and a place to live. Hang in there, Arizo
by Terry Ford  2010-05-16 15:15:39
Anyone got an address list of orgs. that are boycotting Arizona?

I sure would like to boycott them.
by frank  2010-05-17 19:07:25
i would love to have a address list of who is boycotting Arizona if any one has one post it here so we can boycott tham
by Dennis King  2010-05-16 15:25:50
I back Arizona all the way! Thieves come in yhe back door. Remember the Arizona rancher that was killed by illegals mexicans who want him out of the way. Even his dog was shot to death.
by Dennis  2010-05-16 15:32:19
The left wingers AKA socialist/communist agree with the murder of the Arizona rancher if they proceed with intimidating Arizona to stop this immigration law which by the way reflects the federal law that is on the books BUT not enforced by the left controlled "federal U.S. government". Again by doing so agree with the murder of the Arizona rancher!
by Patti Ferrulli  2010-05-16 15:34:05
I can't be there May 29 but I completely agree with the law the governor has signed to protect their citizens against illegal aliens. We need more politicians who will stand up and protect our country.

Cannot be there but will be supporting you!
by Mary Lou Welz  2010-05-18 10:39:01
The Obama administration and their failure (like Bush) to secure the borders in Arizona has brought about this problem. When Govennor Brewer of Arizona tried to solve that problem of secure borders Obama sent in Al Sharpton and La Raza and a protest to security.
I am in full support of the Rally in Tempe Diablo Stadium on May 29th 6 pm. I will BUYcott Arizona to fight against it losing tourists. The Nation will answer and support Arizona.

by Vfc  2010-05-18 18:24:24
I SUPPORT ARIZONA'S LAW. It is up to the Federal Government to secure our borders, to keep illegals out of our country. Illegals are breaking our laws, and are putting a drain on our economy. If the Federal Government is not doing their jobs, than it is up to the states like Arizona to enforce the laws. Have any of you that have protested and boycotted Arizona, read what the Mexico laws are? United States is a country of laws, it is about time they are enforced. Let's stop this nonsense of boycotting Arizona. Also Legal Citizens carry an ID on us all the time, so it is only right that foreginers that come into our country have an ID or passport. Thank goodness for Arizona. More states should do the same, we are not racist to want our laws enforced.
by  Kelly G.  2010-05-18 23:23:07
I stand with Arizona. I hope I can say the same for Gov Perry. Arizona the eyes of Texas are upon you. Vaya con Dios.
by Mary   2010-05-19 10:58:41
I cannot be there in person but will be with you in spirit. Every city, county and state has the duty and obligation to enforce the law and protect its citizens. You are absolutely right in enforcing your laws and I support you 100% and hope that other city, county and state governments will follow your example and do the right thing.
by H.Wallace  2010-05-19 11:39:34
Iam a Californian and I support Arizona. Arizonians are brave and strong. Their stand is going to help all American Citizens. Arizona is the front line, All Americans please support Arizona!!! Arizona has the right and responsibility to protect it citizens, I wish California felt the same.
by leisureal  2010-05-19 16:18:17
We support Arizona in the effort to secure the borders and arrest or deport illegals? Why the question? If they are illegal why is there a problem? As a U.S. citizen we have to have Visas to leave the U.S.-WHY SHOULD ALL ILLEGALS NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION WHEN ASKED FOR IT?
Texas should be SUPPORTING AND NOT BOYCOTTING A LAW THAT PROTECTS US FROM ALL SORTS OF ILLEGALS-IRAN, KENYA, PALISTAN, AS WELL AS MEXICO.Does Gov. Perry think he will get more votes-like Obama by allowing more illegals?

I live in El Paso, Texas across the river from all the killing in Juarez. I totally support Arizona in passing the recent law and if I had the chance would have made it stronger allow auortities to ask for identification at random from everyone regardless of color. A small price to pay for security in our country. I am required to show my I.D. to any officer of the law who asks me to do so and take no offence. All of America needs to deport all illegal persons in our country as quickly as possible and deny any form of amnest. Also, please get out and vote out the current administration in Washington and anyone else that has the same beliefs. We at this time are at risk of losing America and need to take it back regardless of what we need to do within the law and our constituion of which we all should cherish. If you are illegally in our country get out. Any that demostrate aginst our laws should be arrested if found not to be a legal citizen deported from this country.

We are with you 100%--sorry we can not be in Tempe on the 29th, we will be enjoying Arizona in the cool air of Prescott with our family and spending our money shopping that would have gone to El Paso, Tx where we live IF the City Council had not voted to forbid its employees from visiting Arizona on City business--talk about racially motivated actions.

Yea, you go Arizona. Legal citizens have been ignored forever, while politicians want illegals here, either to vote for them, or for businesses to have cheap labor. Wish California would follow, but too many liberals standing in the way. Hope to vote them out soon. Obama and his bunch met with Pres Calderon and apologized for the Ariz law. Who do they support, obviously not us. The Arizona law is nowhere as strict as Mexico's immigration laws, you go to jail for a criminal offense there. Why do we care what Calderon thinks, if he fixed the problems in Mexico maybe his people would stay there. I will forward Stand with Arizona to all my friends.
by Jerey Gunter  2010-05-20 16:55:26
I love the bold, streight forward non politically correct, approach Arizona government has taken to STAND up for the rights of it's LEGAL citizens. Anyone placing another countries flag over our USA flag is not a loyal citizen or even wanting to be. They are intruders. Send them home!!!!!
by  Kelly G.  2010-05-21 10:30:55
This was written by a Mexican who is now a naturalized US Citizen, and I think it's a great explanation of the illegal immigration issue.

Here is the quote:

"If you had tickets to a sports event, concert, Disneyland, or for an airline flight, and when you got to your assigned seat you found someone else was in that seat, what would you do? You would call for a person in charge of ticket checking and have the person in your seat removed. You would properly be asked to show your ticket, and you would gladly and proudly do so, for you have bought and paid for that seat. The person in your seat would also be asked for a ticket, which they would not be able to produce. They would be called "gate crashers" and they would properly be removed.

Now in this huge stadium called the USA we have had millions of gate crashers. We have been asking security to check for tickets and remove the gate crashers. We have been asking security to have better controls in checking at the

THIS IS A TRUE STORY i recently moved to El Paso. I am unemployed and went to a employment orientation. My class was at 12:15. Approximately at that time a lady came out and starting speaking spanish to everyone. Everybody got up and went with her to another room. I stayed figuring whatever she said was not for me of course i wouldn't now since i don't speak spanish. After about 5 minutes i walked up to the counter where i signed in and asked the gentleman if he knows when the orientation class was starting. He then told me it started about 5 minutes ago and i would have to reschedule since since he thought i just walked in the door. I asked him what he was talking about and showed him that i signed in and have been here for 15 minutes. I said a lady came out and walked up to a bunch of people and started talking spanish and they all got up and left. He asked me did she not start using english,i said no. he took me back to the class told her and she started speaking english.

Be strong Arizona. Most Americans are with you and will support you.
by Tom P  2010-05-23 01:47:42
I will use this here I lost where I was going to post it but it works here just fine. Theodore Roosevelt's on immigrants and being an AMERICAN. Quote: In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people. End quote

My family and I came to the U.S. legally. It was my father's dream to become a U.S. citizen and be able to vote. Today he would be very disappointed to know that this wonderful country is encouraging lack of honesty, truth and ethics, by allowing and compensating illegal immigrants to enjoy the same benefits of those of us who came to this country by obeying the law of the land and through hard work, honesty, loyalty and with high personal ethics. How does someone that breaks the law (by coming to a country deifying their laws) be considered a person of high moral character? Good for Arizona's enforcement of the existing immigration law.

A lot of hype on the date of this possible "GREAT" event, but I've searched numerous sites and not a single mention of the TIME when it will be going on. Anyone got the facts???

Wish we could be there Arizona to stant proudly with real citizens of the United States of America. Mexico seems to think they have the right to take this wonderful country and turn it into a failed nation like theirs. Having lived legally in Mexico for many years and abided by every rule they could possibly enact, we are back home and glad to be here except for the outrageious actions of this flood of illegals. We have naively permitted our own government to hand it over. Citizens arise and support Arizona!

profiling is not a part of the constitution of the united states policies. this sounds like something hitler did to the jews. hey, why not give every latino a tatoo with a number so we don't even have to ask them for proof of citizenship. the tea party is like the party of hitler for supporting this crazy arizona law. disgraceful. no wonder the tea party is a joke.

There are no laws on the books targeting hispanics or Mexicans. The largest group of illegal aliens in this country are hispanic and of that group Mexicans make up the largest percentage. The reason it has become ethnic based is because of the single ethnic based special interest groups. They have the most to gain from any form of amnesty by way of political power. They are the ones screaming racists, bigots and xenophobes, you have those types of people on this discussion. I, for one, am against illegal aliens from any country not just Mexico but I am classified as a racist because the special interst groups need to demonize my views for their gains. It also does not help hispanics when they march in our streets flying their flags and protesting in a different language. The illegal hispanics in this country have been embolden by all the rhetoric from their special interest groups and have now taken an in your face stance towards the U.S. and its laws. You don't see the asians, eas

Gov. Brewer flip the switch on L.A. . See how they do without your electricity. Load up some busses and let them make their home in L.A. Love Sheriff Joe, He should be ever law enforcements idol. Go AZ.

Go AZ, you are the best thing since sliced bread. This is a political gouge to get votes. The demorats are running scared and I deploy the Federal Government "just" getting around to looking at the major issue. I have no problem of someone coming to our country leagally and do the right thing in applying for citenship. Why hasn't the Federal government activated the National Guard?

I was proud to stand with the people of Arizona in their fight to secure their border and keep their citizens safe. Unfortunately after the votes were counted in the Senate primary and the people of Arizona voted to keep that two-faced RINO amnesty pushing John McCain as their senator I was utterly shocked!

There's an old saying "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." After all the history we've had with McCain and you still chose him, was Haworth that bad? Arizona had a chance to send a strong message and failed, maybe you deserve "Build That Dang Fence" Johnny. I withdraw my support of your state on this issue and when Johnny bends the people of Arizona over that hitching post and they start to feel that unwanted feeling again in the seat of their pants don't even think about complaining!

You had your chance.
